As we announced at the beginning of the year, among the main trends of the current year are increasing creativity and innovation at work, as well as involving employees in more experiences, not just events. Building on this philosophy, we add to our list of business simulations a new experience that we are proud to promote among our clients: FreshBiz !
First of all, we like business simulations because they are more powerful than a classic training , of the hall. Experience shows us that the participants learn new behaviors much more easily through these simulations, because they not only provide theoretical benchmarks, but also create “muscle memory” among the participants. Thus, the participants do more than just listen to some new ideas: they are involved in a simulation in which they are responsible for their own result.
The participants of a recent event, in which we included the FreshBiz experience in the agenda, rewarded us with several learning points, among which we note the following:
- Collective learning is a much accelerated process
We liked the powerful moment when one of the participants declared that he now understands and practices this concept that we had presented (on a theoretical level) at the opening of the experience: accelerated collective learning. Even if the team members do not fulfill the same role, learning from each other is very beneficial for the individual, allowing him to reduce the degree of risk of a decision, by using the experience of others as a benchmark, or to come up with creative ideas, building on other unrealistic or unsuccessful ideas of others, to give just two examples.
- To make sure you roll a “6”, roll 1000 dice
Many times we use statistics or other theories to (our) justify the difficulty with which we reach a result we want. Through FreshBiz, participants learn that if you want to get a result, then you have to “attack” it through all the channels available to you. In other words, if you want to make sure you roll a “6”, roll 1000 dice!
- Speed in decision-making makes the difference between good and extraordinary
We all like to be able to make quick decisions, but why don’t we do it that often? Time pressure can, in fact, be a trap that distracts our attention from the really important things, but the ability not to over-analyze, to easily conceptualize a situation and to make quick decisions in that situation make the difference.
- It is important to work smart, not to work hard
Although we all agree that this principle is true, most of us end up working hard rather than smart. Why? The answers we received show us that many people do not know that, in fact, they work hard… FreshBiz helped us to concretely mark this difference and to think of clear processes through which we work smarter rather than harder.
Every time we have the opportunity to create a positive impact in the dynamics of a team, whether they are executive teams or managerial teams, we feel how the impact of this team spreads throughout the entire organization. And every time we run the FreshBiz experience, we notice how the participants learn with a lot of positive energy and we are happy to find out (sometimes even after several months) how they apply in their everyday life the principles learned in the newest business experience on that we can offer: FreshBiz!
