Establishing an organizational culture in which employees are passionate and involved in what they do can take years with flawless execution.

John Spence, author of Awesomely Simple and Excellence by Design, defines organizational culture as follows: Culture = Cash. The explanation is simple, the more involved, satisfied and loyal the employees are in the company, the more involved, satisfied and loyal the customers are.

And then the following question arises: “Who is first: the employee or the client?” without any hesitation, the employee. If you recruit great people and build a strong organizational culture, they will take care of your customers’ happiness, satisfaction and loyalty.

The 6 Elements of a Strong Organizational Culture:

  1. Company Values
They are important within a company because every decision is made through the filter of values and every employee lives these values, creating a behavior that will not change over time, even if there is a possibility for the organization to do so.
  2. Friendship Relations
They can only be formed in a non-formal setting. It can be given by events such as: parties, games, Family Day, Company Day, etc. Even the families of the employees can be brought here.
  3. Celebrating Success
The gratitude shown to your colleagues will always be appreciated. You can create internal R&R programs in which your colleagues can be awarded both by the CEO and other colleagues, during annual Galas, or teambuildings or periodic company meetings.
  4. CSR
A successful organizational culture also has a part of social responsibility. You can add the CSR component to both teambuildings and larger internal events, such as an Awards Gala or Family Day.
  5. Learning
Pay attention to the learning process of employees: from Book Clubs to online learning programs, thematic conferences or trainings.
  6. History of the Company
The story of the company will always be fascinating and unique for new employees. They will want to know that they are part of a team with history and, above all, how this relates to the current strategy and culture.
