Using detailed plans and recyclable materials, teams divide into sub-teams to construct a 1:4 scale F18 jet plane. Once complete, they decorate the plane with decals and decide who will be the pilot and the engines! Then teams collaborate on the display for the final air show. After lining up on the runway, teams must combine speed, precision and communication skills to navigate their aircraft and choreograph the action. This incredible shared experience can be made even more memorable with a drone filming the fly-by and editing to ‘highway to the ‘Danger Zone’.

Results: In Flat Out Top Gun, teamwork, resourcefulness, and excellent communication skills are required to turn a flat pack of materials into a plane. When constructing the plane, knowledge of the final objective is key. Allocation of tasks to sub-teams and effective cross-team communication with a clear understanding of how one group’s components fit into those of others and the overall project will lead to a well-constructed plane. Effective inter-team strategic planning, accurate role allocation and whole, effective teamwork will lead to success in the air show as the aircraft fly together.

Working feverishly to a deadline of 100 minutes, teams of 5-8 people pit their wits around a circuit of tricky 3-dimensional tasks. With only 20 minutes to solve each task, communication, leadership, and teamwork are all tested to the max. Unlike ordinary ‘run of the mill’ problem-solving exercises, Integrity breaks new ground by introducing a revolutionary new game dynamic where both the team, and their ‘umpire’ are scored on their performance!

At the start of each task a volunteer umpire drops back from the outbound team to monitor the inbound team. Once time is up, that umpire scores the team according to seven performance criteria and the umpire is then scored by the team. Each team also holds five ‘Integrity Stones’ to award to the umpires at their discretion. After a mind-bending rotation of five physical conundrums, teams declare their total hard-earned score sheets plus ‘Integrity Stones’, and the winners are revealed.

Results: Explore values, and a sense of ‘what’s right’ in this clever, taxing, and well thought out sequence of challenges. Integrity offers an engaging platform where participants analyse communication, leadership, develop agile teams, and highlight individual personality traits.

Escape the Mob begins with a mysterious video telling teams that they are incriminated in the perfect heist. They were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Teams a limited amount of time to get their story straight and determine the exact time they were at each place on the night of the robbery. And, if they can work out who stole the diamonds they will certainly be let off.

Teams each have a bag of items from the night that will help them in their Quest. Teams then head out on their amazing race to solve the mystery and Escape the Mob. The Go Team app guides them to checkpoints where they complete a variety of photo, video, cryptic questions and riddles which will give them clues to the ultimate solution. Challenges may draw on the latest Escape Room style quests including ciphers, symbol swapping alpha puzzles, searching for objects in images, riddles, pattern identification, strange smells, mysterious sounds and more!

Teams gain points for correct answers and uncover time and location clues to add to their pocket book to establish their whereabouts on the night. The winning team is the team with the most points but there is also shared jubilation as the teams must ultimately collaborate to clear their name.

Crime Solvers International (CSI) teams take the role of detectives who have to solve a complex crime. A realistic crime scenario is set to the detecting teams and they are bombarded with a massive amount of information, delivered in a variety of methods. Taped emergency calls, crime scene videos, filmed suspect interviews, photographs, autopsy reports, transcripts, forensic evidence and more all serve to confuse and mislead the detectives. Their task is to sift through the information to solve the crime.

Results: This fun experiential business game demands team collaboration for successful problem solving. Participants develop skills in prioritising information, critically analysing and effectively discussing possible findings to collectively draw conclusions and establish fact. The theme is engrossing and realistic encouraging full participation from all individuals. In Fever Pitch, participants are divided into 2 teams. Each team becomes a group of adoring fans cheering on their football team. The coaches lead their team in practicing specific sounds like group cheers, the ooh of a missed shot, the thud of the ball against a post. Their challenge is to deliver these sounds at times appropriate to accompany the on-screen action. The first team is encouraged to react to the action in a video clip shown on the screen. The next team follows. The challenge builds as each team must deliver an increasing range sounds to accompany the match action. The match climaxes in a penalty shootout. The winning team celebrates with a Mexican wave across the room.

Results: Fever Pitch is a fun, motivating icebreaker that energises a conference and creates an instant rapport among the group through a fun shared experience. Work Styles starts with participants considering their own working style and writing down their preferences on a number of given subjects. Next they get to know their peers by networking the room and finding out how others match their own styles. The aim of the game is to find as many matches as possible. With the group energized, it is time to form into teams of similar working styles.

The groups discuss and define the characteristics of their preferred working styles. Then they carry out a team activity. Next they form teams with as many different work styles as possible a similar activity to the last. A group facilitator then leads a group discussion exploring why it is productive to have a range of working styles within a team, but also why this may not be effective if there is limited appreciation of the different ways in which each other work.

Results: Research shows that the most effective teams are formed of people with a variety of working styles. However these differences can cause conflict if they are not appreciated. If understood, appreciated and embraced, they will lead to more effective innovation and ideation.
