Teams are briefed on the essential sections that must be completed to fill the front page. Everything from writing the lead article, getting the scoop photo, designing an eye-catching advert, through to drawing a satirical cartoon.​

Before unleashing the new recruits into the cut-throat world that is the media, the chief editor prepares them with a series of warm-ups and tools to keep them cool under pressure.​

Reporters are sorting through the day’s breaking news, meeting informants and getting the scoop. Astrologists are looking to the future and writing forecasts. ​The sport journalists will present the report from the latests games.​

Anticipation builds as they await the print out of their masterpieces.​

Papers are printed and displayed in areas of high footfall so all can see each other’s achievements and efforts. ​

Prizes can be awarded for different categories, e.g. Best Cartoon, Best Overall Paper, Best Lead Story.

A charismatic host meets the players and splits them into small breakout groups and into round one where they each ask one question from their virtual Bingo Card. These ‘pop-up’ questions are related to fun facts, career achievements or intriguing personal accolades, i.e. “Who in this breakout room has been on TV before?”

Working in brief, time-constrained sprint cycles, participants will research specific evidence, reconvene as a team and assemble the puzzle. With each sprint, they will determine potential motives, connect the dots and acquire information to inform the next phase of the investigation.

The game is designed to test the analytical and collaborative abilities of your team. Within 90 minutes, teams must closely examine the evidence and submit them thorough investigation form. Each suspect’s possible motives and the true identity of the perpetrator must be included in the case notes that they submit.

Participants learn about working remotely as a team through the use of an engaging theme and relevant links to their business environment. Following the experience, participants use reflective observation to identify what occurred during the exercise, what decisions they made and the consequences of these decisions. Participants are able to make effective behavioural changes by understanding and accepting the implications of their choices.

Welcome to a fun and fast paced cooperative puzzle game!
The team’s mission is to go back and forth between the virtual and real worlds, finding clues to aid in retrieving the prisoner and to help him return to the real world.
One team member at a time wears the VR headset to describe the virtual world, while the teammates in the real world have the solutions in a set of lock modules, which open the doors of different rooms. Just when they think they are done, they are pushed to a second level, and must go through the same rooms with more complicated lock systems.
After opening the locks, they go to the room with the trapped teenager, and use the numbers collected to solve the final puzzle, releasing the teenager with a 4 digit code.
The event director leads them through a debrief, focusing on key elements from the game relating it to aspects of team management theory.

Using detailed construction plans; each team has to manage time and resources effectively to turn a ‘flat-pack’ kit into a giant cardboard bus! Once constructed teams decorate their bus with “advertising” which can be aligned to reinforce your brand message or conference theme.

Buses can be paraded and the best themed bus awarded a prize for creativity. The challenge concludes when teams get “on the buses” and race against each other using speed and control to the next bus stop.

Results: Teams need to understand the overall objective and divide this complex project into time effective, clearly defined sub-tasks. Individuals aspire to a common goal and effectively collaborate and co-ordinate their efforts as a team. Being such big, broad forms of transport, fun and laughter accompanies good-nature competitiveness during the race.

In this innovative and fun team building activity, each team is supplied with equipment, tools and detailed construction plans and tasked to work together to turn a ‘flat-pack’ kit into a giant pyramid. Once the individual team pyramids have been constructed, teams decorate their pyramid with slogans and colour, which can be aligned to reinforce your brand message, conference theme or perhaps a charity of your choice.

The decoration of each pyramid should work as a uniform design when joined with other segments of the pyramid. Alternatively, bespoke stickers can be made to adorn the sections of your pyramid once combined. The challenge continues in a whole group rewarding collaborative team building activity, when all teams come together to construct a gigantic pyramid from each individual team’s pyramid.
