What is Win it in a minute?

Win it in a Minute is an energetic team-building activity, structured as a series of short, fun and competitive challenges, each lasting 60 seconds.

Inspired by the dynamic nature of TV shows, the activity brings teams together in a fast-paced game with simple rules, a clear scoring system and plenty of support from colleagues.

Each challenge tests different skills — dexterity, concentration, speed, coordination, creativity or quick reactions — and the teams must decide who is the most suitable participant for each challenge.

It’s an accessible format, easy to explain and excellent for boosting a group’s energy in a short space of time.

How does it work?

The activity begins with a short briefing, during which participants are told the rules of the game, the scoring system and the teams’ objective. The facilitators then introduce the challenges one by one, and the teams quickly decide who will take part.

Each challenge lasts 60 seconds and involves a simple task, but one that is challenging enough to generate energy, laughter and engagement from the whole team.

Participants taking part in the challenge are cheered on by their colleagues, and the scores are updated as they go along to keep the competition exciting.

In addition to the main challenges, teams may also face bonus challenges, which add an element of surprise and keep the pace high. At the end, the best teams can progress to the final rounds, and the winners are announced during a celebratory ceremony.

The challenges are designed to be fun, inclusive and accessible enough to encourage every participant to get involved.

When is Win it in a minute the right choice?

Win it in a Minute is ideal when you want to add some quick energy to an event, without having to organise a complicated or hard-to-explain activity.

The format is short, flexible and easy to incorporate into conferences, team-building programmes and company days alike.

It works very well for mixed groups, participants who don’t know each other very well, or teams who need a fun, active and relaxed break.

It blends in naturally with:

  • energizer for conferences or internal meetings
  • icebreaker for mixed or cross-departmental groups
  • kick-offs that require energy and quick interaction
  • off-site events or retreats featuring short, dynamic activities
  • company days or corporate events with a relaxed atmosphere
  • transitional moments before dinner, a party or socialising

Why does it deliver results?

Win it in a Minute works because it quickly breaks down the barriers between participants.

The rules are simple, the time limit is short, and the challenges are fun enough that people get involved without feeling the pressure of something too formal.

The format generates excitement both for those taking part in the trials and for those supporting their team.

Even if not all participants take part in every challenge, they are all involved in the strategy, the encouragement, the selection of representatives and the competitive atmosphere.

At the same time, the game brings out useful behaviors: who takes the initiative, who offers encouragement, who adapts quickly, how decisions are made, and how the team handles time pressure.

It’s simple, quick and very effective for generating collective energy.
