What is Quickfire?

Quickfire is a dynamic team-building activity centred around fast-paced, varied and interactive challenges.

Teams compete to score as many points as possible, using a combination of strategy, communication, creativity and decision-making under time pressure.

Participants are given mental, creative and active tasks which they must choose and complete as efficiently as possible.

The format showcases different skills within the team and creates an energetic atmosphere, ideal for groups that need engagement, connection and team spirit.

How does it work?

Each team is given a tablet, a box of equipment and a virtual in-game budget. Each challenge has an entry fee and a points reward, and teams must weigh up the risks before deciding which missions to tackle.

Challenges can be mental, creative or physical, and can take various forms: photos, videos, quick-fire questions, multiple-choice questions, logic puzzles or tasks requiring collaboration.

Some can be done individually, others in pairs, in small groups, with the whole team or even together with other teams.

As time goes on, the pace picks up. Teams gain confidence, choose more difficult challenges and can use bonus play options to maximise their score when they think they can succeed.

The scores can be followed live or saved for a final moment of suspense and celebration.

When is Quickfire the right choice?

Quickfire is ideal when you need an activity that’s high-energy, gets people involved quickly and offers great flexibility.

It works well for mixed teams, cross-departmental groups or participants with different levels of seniority, as it does not rely on a single type of skill.

It’s a great choice when you want a fun experience that really puts collaboration to the test: teams have to communicate, prioritise, make quick decisions and use their resources wisely.

It blends in naturally with:

  • indoor or outdoor team-building activities focusing on energy and collaboration
  • off-site events and retreats with a dynamic main activity
  • kick-off meetings where you want people to get involved quickly and create a positive atmosphere
  • conferences or corporate events featuring an interactive session on the agenda
  • engagement programmes for mixed or cross-departmental teams
  • company days or in-house events involving large groups

Why does it deliver results?

Quickfire works because it turns collaboration into visible behaviour. Teams don’t just take part in challenges; they have to decide quickly who does what, which tasks are worth tackling, and how to use their time to achieve a better result.

The variety of tasks means that different types of people have the chance to shine. Some are good at logic, others at creativity, whilst others excel at physical challenges, presentation, coordination or quick thinking.

As the game progresses, the teams begin to gain a better understanding of each participant’s strengths and to use them strategically.

One of the format’s greatest advantages is its flexibility. The activities can be tailored to suit the brand, organisational culture, event theme or the company’s key messages.

The interface, graphics and content of the activity can be tailored to reflect the client’s objectives, transforming Quickfire from a simple, energetic game into an experience that is relevant to the team’s context.

That is precisely why Quickfire is not just a fun activity. It is an experience centred on communication, trust, prioritisation and decision-making under time pressure, delivered in an energetic, competitive format that can be easily adapted to a wide range of objectives.
