What is Quickfire Soccer?
Quickfire Soccer is a competitive, app-based team-building activity, inspired by the energy of football and designed as a competition between teams vying for the highest score.
Each team enters the game as a championship ”squad” and must choose wisely which challenges to tackle, manage their resources and accumulate as many points as possible before the final whistle.
The activity combines mental, creative and physical tasks, all woven into an easy-to-understand and energetic football-themed programme.
Participants do not need to play football or have any sporting ability.
Football provides the context, the pace and the competitive atmosphere, but success depends on strategy, communication, trust, creativity and the team’s ability to make quick decisions.
How does it work?
Participants are divided into teams, given a tablet, themed equipment and game resources, and then take part in a competition modelled on a league format.
“The Referee” explains the rules, the objective and how the app works, whilst the teams prepare their game strategy.
Each team chooses from a menu of challenges with varying levels of difficulty, costs and rewards.
Some tasks require logic or knowledge of football, whilst others call for creativity, coordination, photo and video tasks, or active moments.
As the game progresses, the teams become more daring, choose more difficult challenges and decide when it’s worth taking a risk for a higher score.
The scores can be followed in real time, and the finale involves the calculation of the results, the announcement of the winners and the moment when the trophy is raised.

When is Quickfire Soccer the right choice?
Quickfire Soccer is ideal when you’re looking for a high-energy activity, a familiar theme and some friendly competition between teams.
It is a good choice for groups who need a quick opportunity to interact, without any intense or difficult sporting activity.
It works very well for mixed teams, because it doesn’t just reward sporting ability.
In a team, I can rely just as much on people who know their trivia, those who think strategically, those who rally the group, those who are creative, and those who have the courage to take on active challenges.
It blends in naturally with:
- team-building activities with a sporting theme or a competitive spirit
- off-site events and retreats with a dynamic main activity
- kick-off meetings focusing on shared objectives, strategy and performance
- company days or in-house events with a relaxed yet energetic atmosphere
- engagement programmes for mixed or cross-departmental teams
- corporate events that include award ceremonies, socialising or a party
Why does it deliver results?
Quickfire Soccer works because it uses football as a common language: teams, strategy, the score, time pressure, the crowd and the final whistle.
The theme is easy to understand and quickly gets people energised, even for participants who aren’t keen on sport. At the same time, the game doesn’t depend on physical performance.
Teams win by the way they choose their challenges, divide up their roles, communicate quickly and decide when it’s worth taking a risk to score more points.
Some tasks call for logic, others for creativity, and others still for courage, coordination or a flair for the dramatic, which means that a range of different skills can come to the fore.
In Quickfire Soccer, everything is built around the thrill of the championship: kick-off, first half, second half, bonus play, scores and lifting the trophy.
This structure adds an element of storytelling and makes the experience easier to remember as ‘the team’s football match’, rather than simply as a collection of challenges.
