What is Company Got Talent?

Company Got Talent is a team-building activity inspired by the talent show format, tailored for teams and corporate events.

Participants prepare dance routines, music, recitals, parodies or creative performances, either individually or in teams, and present them to their collegues in an energetic in-house show.

The concept creates a relaxed setting in which people can express themselves, collaborate and be seen in a different light from their usual roles in the office.

The activity brings energy to the group, stimulates creativity and creates a relaxed atmosphere in which people can collaborate, support one another and enjoy a shared moment of celebration.

It’s not about perfect artistic performance, but about courage, creativity, support and celebrating the people in the company.

How does it work?

The activity begins with an introduction to the theme and the division of participants into teams or working groups. Each team chooses or is assigned a type of artistic performance: dance, music, parody, synchronised performance, acting or a creative performance.

The teams develop their concept, allocate roles and rehearse with the support of the facilitators. Some participants may be on stage, whilst others may contribute to the concept, coordination, props, support, organisation or even judging, so that the activity remains accessible to those who are more reserved.

The finale is the highlight of the show: the teams present their performances to their peers, with applause, judging and recognition.

The experience can be designed to be either more competitive or more relaxed, depending on the company’s culture and the aim of the event.

When is Company Got Talent the right choice?

Company Got Talent is ideal when the aim of the event is to bring energy, excitement and a memorable moment of celebration.

It’s a good choice for companies looking for a creative, group-based activity that can be the highlight of a corporate evening.

It works very well for medium and large groups, especially when participants come from different departments and need a relaxed setting in which to interact in a different way to how they do at work.

It blends in naturally with:

  • corporate parties and end-of-year events
  • in-house anniversaries or company days
  • engagement programmes for large groups
  • kick-offs with an energetic and memorable atmosphere
  • corporate events with an entertainment and socialising element
  • team-building days, followed by dinner, a party or an awards ceremony

Why does it deliver results?

Company Got Talent works because it completely changes the participants’ role: people are no longer just spectators at an entertainment event, but become the creators of the show.

This creates engagement, emotion and a much more authentic energy than a performance staged entirely from the outside.

The format is powerful because it brings to the fore aspects of colleagues that aren’t normally seen in the office: humour, courage, creativity, spontaneity, a supportive spirit, or the ability to coordinate a performance under time pressure.

Even participants who do not want to be in the spotlight can play an important role behind the scenes, in the creative process, in supporting the team or on the judging panel.

The finale creates a moment of collective celebration.

Applause, judging and internal recognition turn the event into a memorable experience, helping the team to bond in a relaxed, human and energetic way.
