Inย One Voice, Guided by an experienced vocal instructor, participants are led through a series of fun exercises that train the body and voice.
As their confidence grows, they are then challenged to achieve more and more until, eventually, the whole team comes together in a song uniquely tailored to the group.
In One Voice, they show what can be achieved when they truly open their hearts, minds and voices. Their final song can be preserved in a format that allows them to listen to it at home as a special memory of this fantastic collective experience.
Intended outcomes
One Voice is based on extensive research into the power of singing together as a group, which leads to the social, emotional and psychological well-being of individuals.
One Voice requires focused concentration on a variety of actions, including listening and following the facilitator carefully, remembering the words and listening to your own and other voices in harmony.
This activity focuses attention on issues outside the concerns of normal life, relieves stress and puts participants in a mindful and receptive frame of mind.
