Can you feel the winter vibe coming on??❄️
With capital-city traffic, quite a lot of fog in the morning and two or three seasons during the day, cold noses when you get to the office and coffee on the go, or tea. It's clear, winter is coming.
The Universum office is buzzing with talk about this winter's trends, that we have them, that we don't have them, that we're tired of them and that we prefer to be unique... so a little jotting down of ideas will surely help.
It's not hard to see how events support company development.
Claaaaar events strengthen relationships between people. They can loosen up the atmosphere in the team and make it cool, strengthen the relationship between colleagues, the relationship with partners and/or customers and give us reasons to continue to develop.
Whatever the field, end-of-year events are the best opportunity to celebrate results and set plans for the future.
Whether we're talking about awarding people or talking about inter-company events, activating a brand or changing a team's thinking, every opportunity to generate networking should be seized. By the way, have you read about brand activations?
When all the trends are towards digitalization and technology all around, then we invest more in face-to-face networking opportunities.
We tend to lose touch with those around us when we're assaulted by technology, at home or in the office, on the road or at events... we feel disconnected step by step. That's why we emphasize the participants' experience at every event. With flawless implementations we encourage the full involvement of those present throughout the entire event. And we are no exception when it comes to maximizing the use of technology in our events. And yes, we do use it. :)
In the events industry, trends come and go, especially winter trends. ☃️
Because we are talking here about events that encourage networking and because we increasingly say Winter is coming, Here, we blog the most important ideas for this winter. Winter events are best thought out in spring. And no, it's not early at all! Because availability of venues is not something to neglect. So we suggest you follow this trend every year.
Namely: book your location in advance. ⏰
Also, consider the days of the week. Why? They bring super flexibility for you at the venue, you have lower costs and the guarantee that no one is putting pressure on you with other events running in parallel. Pluuuuuuus, you're likely to get a lot more people coming to your party than at the weekend (because in the winter we tend to go away more and more often...:P).
The event coordinator is like the wedding planner.
You definitely want a stress free event! You have time to drink, have fun, socialize with all the colleagues you don't get to see too often. Beyond that... the dedicated project manager surely has more experience managing the event than anyone in-house. Trust and hire a specialized event company to handle every detail for your party. And contrary to what people in the market say, guaranteed the investment in the event is a much more cost-effective one because... doah... event experience brings benefits after itself. :D
If you want to give at Christmas, do it! But don't forget to help the rest of the year!
Or whenever you get the chance. When it comes to humanitarian campaigns in the winter, people tend to get active instantly. Going towards gift collection campaigns, donating money, landscaping and the list goes on. There are a multitude of ways companies can increase humanitarian efforts, contributing to local, national or global sustainable development.
Events that include CSR components are extremely important because companies generally have a lot of resources to make real change. On top of that, consumers feel when a company does something that makes a real difference and is fair to everyone, regardless of the cause.
So don't be afraid to propose social responsibility components in the events you organize. What's more, see article I wrote a while ago about the benefits of CSR in organizations and let us know when you want to help! :)
Inspiration is right in front of us.
We do not shy away from staging themed parties inspired by movies, important stories or events that have an impact, whether national or international. This winter we are coming up with some unique ideas, obviously customized for the location, the number of people and the budget we have. And as an idea, in addition to the various themes, this year we also believe in a simple Christmas theme. When was the last time you went to a Christmas event with a ... Christmas theme?
A theme is not just a name!
We're convinced that we can make the most of a concept no matter what your palette. There are all sorts of effective (and sometimes not very expensive) solutions whereby you can use a party theme end-to-end: the well-known props, photobooths décor and backdrops, candy bar presentation and elements, visuals, decorations and lighting that help you completely transform the feel of a venue. We have some concepts presented here, but clearly the palette is much bigger.
The conclusion is clear!
What we can do this winter for you and your team is just a message away.
