„The ”National Day of Moldovan Wine„ crossed the Prut, and for this purpose, on the first weekend of October was organized "Moldovan Wine Festival” - the first event dedicated to Moldovan wine, music and culture to take place in Romania.

The event organized under the theme „Created to be savored” was rich in attractions for visitors, such as wine tastings from renowned wineries, delicious culinary dishes, a play area for children and wine seminars. What's more, visitors were able to enjoy craft activities such as pottery or wood carving.

The event was attended by the 21 most important Moldovan wineries, such as Château Vartely, Purcari, Castel Mimi, Timbrus, Gitana, Calarasi Divin, Mileștii Mici, Suvorov & Kazayak Vin, Unicorn, Maurt, Alianta Vin, Bostavan, Vinuri de Comrat, Grada Vine, Fautor, Vinăria din Vale, Rădăcini, Sălcuța, Aroma S.A., Doina Vin and Small Producers, which offered wine lovers the experience of quality taste.

In addition to wine tastings, adults were able to participate in a series of interesting activities prepared especially for them, including wine masterclasses held by specialists in the field, as well as food masterclasses, moderated by Angela Brasoveanu, author of the book “Moldova - people, places, cuisine and wine” and held by chef Marian Dinu, who revolutionized the concept of gastronomy in Moldova.

During the two days, wine lovers were able to savor Moldovan wine in a unique musical atmosphere. Famous artists from Romania and the Republic of Moldova performed on the stage at the edge of the forest: Carla's Dreams, Zdob si Zdub, Cuibul, Valeria Stoica, The Mono Jacks, Byron, Irina Sarbu Band and Nadia Trohin together with Mircea Tiberian .

The event was held in parallel with the National Wine Day in Chisinau, the initiator of the project - the National Office of Vine and Wine - wishing to pay homage to the history and common tradition of the two peoples in this centenary year.
